Dear Respected Parents/Guardians,

We pray and hope this letter reaches you in the best of Imaan and health.

We are writing to inform you that the end-of-year parents’ evening will take place on Friday 27th May 2022.

Please attend at your allocated time. In the case where there is no male figure to represent the child, please provide the madrasah with a contact number and the teacher/s will call at your allocated time.

We strongly believe that a face-to-face meeting between the parent and teacher in the presence of the student is the best way to discuss your child’s progress, behaviour etc. and therefore parents must bring their child/ren with them to the meeting.

Please note that parents who don’t attend this Friday will have to reschedule the meeting at a later date.

On the day, you’ll be given a sheet with the information your child will need to learn for the end-of-year exams which start on Monday 27th June – Wednesday 6th July 2022.

Please see table below for further information.

DDear Respected Parents/Guardians,
We pray this letter reaches you in the best of Imaan and health. Ameen.

End of year exams cancellation

As mentioned previously, there will be no formal end of year exams and no end of year jalsah, in order to allow
teachers to complete as much of the syllabus as possible before the year ends. This is due to the obvious disruption
which has been caused by the pandemic.

Please note however that there will be informal assessments of Quran and Qaidah throughout this week (Mon 28th
June – Fri 2nd July). This will involve teachers going to other classes besides their own class and the children will
read that day’s lesson (as they normally would to their own teacher). Please note that this informal assessment is
only to assess the overall level of the class and not to assess any individual child, which means that there will be
no marks given and no 1st, 2nd, 3rd positions etc.
As a parent you just have to ensure that you make your child read
their lesson at home before madrasah as you have been doing.

Please note that children who are isolating will not be assessed as part of the internal assessments. If your child normally receives a phone call then the teachers will phone them as normal, although timings may be different. If they attend via Zoom, then please ask your child to log in from 6pm onwards.

Fun days

InshaAllah from Monday 5th July we will have fun activity days for the children to reward them for their hard work
throughout the year. This will include BBQ`s, ice creams, bouncy castles, archery, tug of war among other activities.
Due to the ongoing Covid situation, different classes will have fun days on different days. Closer to the time, we will
inshaAllah inform all the classes on an individual basis as to when their fun day will be and letters will also be sent
accordingly.

Fees

There are still many children whose fees are still outstanding. We request all parents to ensure that their child`s fees are paid on time. All parents whose child`s fees are outstanding have been contacted individually.  If you are not sure about your child`s fee status, then please contact the office during madrasah hours.

Finally, please remember Darul Quran Masjid, Madrasah and the entire ummah in your pious duas.
Shukran.

Dear Respected Parents/Guardians:

We pray this letter reaches you in the best of Imaan and health. Ameen.

Bank Holiday

There will be no madrasah for tomorrow ONLY (Monday 31st May) for all normal classes. We do realise that schools are off for half term and ideally we try our level best to give all holidays in line with school holidays. With the extra time given off for Ramadhan / Eid ul fitr and the extra time that will be given off for Eid ul Adha it is not feasible to give these half term holidays as well. As you are already aware the childrens` madrasah education has already suffered greatly due to Covid–19 and giving more holidays will only impact their education further.

Please note that there is no Bank Hoilday for Hifz classes.

Madrasah to resume as normal

Alhamdolillah, most of our students are out of isolation and so from Tuesday 1st June madrasah will resume ONSITE. All the children will be attending for the full madrasah day (4.45 – 7pm).

As we have reiterated many times before, please do not send your child to madrasah if they have been asked to isolate from school or if they have come into close contact with anyone who has tested positive.

Please remember Darul Quran Masjid, Madrasah and the entire ummah in your pious duas.

Shukran.

Dear Respected Parents/Guardians:

Online lessons to continue

InshaAllah online lessons will continue for this week as currently more than 30% of our students are self-isolating and another 4 staff members are also self-isolating.

Depending on the situation, we hope to call the students on-site from next week (Monday 31st May) inshaAllah. We will send further information closer to the time.

We appreciate that online lessons are not as effective as face to face learning, however with Bolton`s infection rates being the highest in England and with reports of people not self-isolating when they are supposed to be doing so, we feel that online learning is the best course of action in order to safeguard the health of our community.

Please remember Darul Quran Masjid, Madrasah and the entire ummah in your pious duas.

Shukran.

Online Madrasah

Due to an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Bolton plus the fact that many families will have mixed together at Eid, we feel it’s best to keep Madrasah teaching online for this week.

Online teaching will start from Tuesday 18th May till Friday 21st May.

There will be no teaching on Monday 17th May as teachers will be sorting out their online teaching times/schedules.

The login details for Zoom Classes will be the same as before. Timings will be sent to you before Tuesday.

We shall keep an eye on the situation and let you know what happens beyond this week.

Hifz Classes will take place onsite this week and due to the extra space available, students will be adequately socially distanced from each other.

Jazakallahu Khairan for your understanding, patience and co-operation in these testing and unprecedented times.

Shukran.

Urgent Appeal

We have an urgent project underway for the New Girls’ Madrasah. A brand new car park needs to be built urgently (behind the building) before the New Girls’ Madrasah building can open.

The approximate cost of this project is £65,000 – £70,000. The car park will have the capacity for 25 – 30 cars and will be used for outdoor activities as well. The car park will also help ease traffic congestion around the area during pick-up/drop-off times and increase the safety of the children and parents.

You, the parents/guardians, have always charitably and generously helped out in the past and we now humbly request for you to donate once again – especially during the auspicious month of Ramadhan. However small your donation may be, it will be immensely appreciated by all those who will use the Madrasah facilities in the future. You will earn their duas and more importantly, the Almighty will reward you all immensely.

Please put donations in an envelope labelled as “Car Park Donation” and hand it in to your child’s class teacher or the madrasah office. If you would like to make a donation via the bank, please use the following details:

If you are a home educating parent who sees madrasah as a means of facilitating your child’s full-time education needs, then you will also be eligible to send your child to madrasah for the one hour slot from Monday 15th March.
  1. Medical Needs

Important Updates to Madrasah Re-opening

We had planned to re-open the madrasah from Tuesday 9th March for all our students with the one hour slot system in operation.

However, it has been brought to light that according to the government’s latest Covid-19 guidelines, madrasahs cannot open fully until April 12th 2021.

In the guidelines, however, the government has provided conditions/scenarios whereby a student can physically return to the madrasah for teaching.

In light of this, madrasah will re-open on Monday 15th March (as per the one hour slot system) for those students who meet the government’s criteria (further details of these criteria and how to proceed will be shared in due course).

Please note that you will have to fill out a form to confirm that you meet these criteria. The forms will be shared in due course as well.

If you do not meet these criteria, then your child can continue with Zoom lessons/phone calls.

For this week (Tuesday 9th – Friday 12th March) madrasah will continue online (phone calls/Zoom).

Jazakallahu Khairan for your understanding, patience and co-operation in these testing and unprecedented times.

Shukran.
